Coincidence and Courage

I just realized that something unusual happened to me last week.

In just one day, two people close to me reached out and shared that they are dealing with an important career decision.  So important that it would change the course of their life and the lives of the people around them.

Coincidence?  Perhaps.

As a friend, I responded by sharing what I know may help them decide.

And in the following week, both of them have thought of their options, perhaps weighed in on all the comments they received from people who mattered, and have reached a decision.

I salute their bravery.  It really takes courage and conviction to face a challenge and make the change. I am happy and excited for their new journey ahead.  It’s like breathing new air.  They will wake up everyday with purpose.  Why?  Because they’re on a mission!  They have a bright, new perspective on the possibilities of what they can achieve!  They will look forward to doing things more than ever in their life because those things matter to themselves.  Most important of all, they have hope.  It’s not easy to step out into something new and unknown.  Hope will keep the fire burning. It will sustain them in their journey.

Courage?  Absolutely.
